The Axial R&D team took all of this into account when working on a new driveline system solution that would not only be great for the Wraith™, with the next level of driving style we are sure your vehicle is to see, but deliver a factory system that is an easy-to-install mechanical upgrade for all SCX10/AX10's to make sure you come back home from the epic journey. The WB8 Wild Boar Driveshaft Set is THE ONE simple system that will universally work across the whole Axial family of rigs.

Yes, we said "simple system", as in – Super Easy Assembly! No more pry bar pliers! No more snapping Y-Yokes! The WB8 Wild Boar Driveshaft Set is a much simpler solution to assemble, tear-down and inspect. Other features include:

OPTIONAL: We recommend using [AX30435] along with [AX30408] to utilize the cross pin design for secure pin attachment. The Axial R&D team worked on a solution that would not only be great for the Wraith™ but would also make a great upgrade for all SCX10/AX10's.

WB8 Driveshaft [AX80084]
Part of the WB8 Wild Boar Driveshaft's "tough-as-tusk" durability is its ability to withstand the material deformation caused by high torque and/or heavy loads over the standard SCX10/AX10 driveshafts. The WB8 shaft is comprised of an 8 spline design that reduces friction during suspension cycling and has an increased surface area that transmits load smoother and more efficiently than the previous 4 spline designs. The CVJ's take the most abuse in a driveline system and while the WB8 Driveshaft Coupler is an all metal design, the WB8 driveshaft itself is molded in tough composite plastic that offers less friction and smoother operation with optimal wear characteristics.

WB8 Driveshaft Coupler Set [AX30784]
The heart and soul of the WB8 Wild Boar Driveshaft is the design of the all metal Driveshaft Coupler. The Axial R&D team spent a lot of time at the drawing board as they know this is where all the abuse from opposing forces are focused on as the power is transmitted from the motor to the wheels while rocks and debris are punishing your drivetrain/driveshafts. The Axial engineers based the Coupler on the proven Constant-velocity joint design which is more compact and has a more consistent rotational speed while achieving the same articulation angles as the standard Y-Yoke thus reducing harmonic vibration.

WB8 Driveshaft Retainer Ring (2pcs Aluminum) [AX30786]
Wraith™ Option Part. Replaces the stock plastic rings on the WB8 Wild Boar Driveshaft Couplers and is composed of a more durable protective solution for the CVJ-Pins against those abusive rocks with large fangs. The WB8 Retainers Rings also add highly coveted concourse bling points that will show if you are a trailer queen or just how much gnar-gnar you are putting your rig into.

Steel Outdrive Shaft Set (2pcs) [AX30435]
Replaces the old aluminum version outdrive shaft [AX30404] in SCX10/AX10's. The Steel Outdrive Shaft is cross drilled for secure pin attachment. Best when used in conjunction with [AX30408] to utilize the cross pin design.

Steel Input Shaft 5X29mm (2pcs) [AX30408]
Replaces flat-cut input shaft [AX30405] in SCX10/AX10's. The Steel Input Shaft is cross drilled for secure pin attachment. Best when used in conjunction with [AX30435] to utilize the cross pin design.
