Paul Coleman Races the Robitronic Mantis

 

 

The Inaugural Team Losi Nitro Winter Championships was held in Tampa Florida the week of January 23-28, at the world famous Lake Park RC Track.  This was the first major race of the 2007 season and the first for the Robitronic Mantis truggy driven by Paul Coleman of Axial.

 

During practice the mantis looked good, stable and fast. During the 4 rounds of qualifying the Robitronic Mantis was consistent placing 6th in round 1, 7th in round two and 8th in the last two rounds.

                                                                                                                            

At the start of the 45min A-main the Mantis was in 8th qualifying position.  The Robitronic Mantis had a good start and after the first lap was in 4th position running with a tight group of racers.  The Mantis continued to perform well but had to retire early due to technical difficulties.

 

In conclusion, it was a great week for the mantis in its first outing of the 2007 race season.
